Burdock is traditionally used in Herbal Medicine as an alterative to help remove accumulated waste products via the kidneys, skin and mucus membranes, as a diuretic and to induce sweating (diaphoretic). Dandelion is traditionally used in Herbal Medicine to help increase bile flow (cholagogue and choleretic), as a laxative (aperient) and to help treat digestive disturbances (dyspepsia). RECOMMENDED DOSE (ADULTS): 2 tea bags once per day as infusion. Infuse
2 tea bags in one cup of boiling water for 10 to 15 minutes.
MEDICINAL INGREDIENTS: Each tea bag contains 600mg root of Arctium lappa (Burdock), 600mg leaf of Taraxacum officinale (Dandelion) and 300mg root of Althaea officinalis (Marshmallow).
DURATION OF USE: Indigestion: Consult a health care practitioner for use beyond 2 weeks. Diuretic: For occasional use only.
CAUTIONS/WARNINGS: Consult a health care practitioner if symptoms persist
or worsen; prior to use if you are breastfeeding or if you have liver or gall bladder diseases and/or intestinal obstruction. Stop use and seek medical attention
immediately if you experience dizziness, confusion, muscle weakness or pain, abnormal heart beat and/or difficulty breathing.
CONTRAINDICATIONS: Do not use if you are pregnant, if you are allergic to plants of Asteraceae/Compositae/Daisy family or if you have heart disease, high or low blood pressure, kidney or liver disorder, diabetes or edema (swelling of hands, face and feet) or are taking products containing diuretics.
KNOWN ADVERSE REACTION:Hypersensitivity (e.g. allergy) has been known to occur; in which case, discontinue use.
